If you need help in your current math class, want support in preparing for the ACT test, or want to create a plan to make sure you are ready for the AP Calculus AB or BC exam in May, I can work with you to meet your needs. I am available to meet with you online or in person in the Mount Horeb area (including Verona, Belleville, New Glarus, Fitchburg, Middleton, and more), and I can work with your schedule to meet at times that work for you. You will leave each tutoring session feeling more confident and ready for what comes next!
About Me
I would love to help you with your math class! I have been a high school math teacher and tutor for over 10 years. I have helped hundreds of students find success in their math classes, and I am passionate about helping students learn to love math. Whether it is helping you in your high school math class or helping you to prepare for the AP Calculus AB/BC or ACT exam, I will help you to see the beauty and functionality of mathematics.
When I decided to take some time to be home with my two young children, I knew I still wanted to help students in their math classes. I have been tutoring since I was in college, and I love working with students one-on-one or in small groups. Tutoring is the perfect way for me to combine my love of teaching with the flexibility to work with students outside of the school setting.

In my time as a classroom teacher, I have taught 8th grade math, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, precalculus, trigonometry, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. In addition, I have tutored students from 7th grade through college Calculus III. With this experience with a variety of classes, I am able to assist you in any middle or high school math class. Whether you are learning online or in person, I will help you find success.
I have taught AP Calculus AB and BC for many years, and I know exactly what you need in order to be successful on the exam. Over the past two years, even with the switch to virtual instruction, my AP Calculus students have far exceeded the state and national averages for pass rate. 100% of my AP Calculus BC students have passed the exam for the last two years in a row, and over 75% of my AP Calculus AB students have earned a passing score, including 100% of my online-only students in 2021. Whether we meet in person or online, I know how to help you prepare to take the exam. As your tutor, I will help you set up a plan for not only being successful in your AP Calculus class but also stay on track to pass the exam. I will support what you are learning in your class, help deepen your understanding of the material, and make sure that you are understanding how to communicate your understanding on the AP Exam.

One-on-One In-Person Lessons
Meet with me in person for a one-on-one tutoring session for your math class. I am able to meet you anywhere in the Mount Horeb area (including Verona, Belleville, New Glarus, Fitchburg, Middleton, and more).
One-on-One Online Lessons
Meet with me over Zoom for a tutoring session for your math class. If you prefer meeting online, we can connect virtually for a one-on-one session.
Group Lessons
If you have some friends in the same class, we can set up a group lesson either in person or online. This is a great way to get support at a reduced rate, and I always encourage working on math with other people!
ACT Test Prep
I have four years’ experience teaching an ACT Prep class in addition to my years teaching math content. I can help you identify your needs and create a plan to get you ready for the mathematics section of the ACT, as well as provide you with strategies that will work for the entire test.
